Blank Canvas is a locally owned custom apparel print shop located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We offer digital direct to garment printing on various garments and tote bags, as well as traditional screen print.
Our in-store DTG and vinyl print services do not have any minimums or setup fees, and are able to produce small orders of any size.
Pricing begins at various rates depending on the process used, and larger bulk orders qualify for certain tiered price breaks depending on the quantity.

HOW TO SEND ARTWORK
Please send artwork though email or WeTransfer link.
Acceptable file types: AI / PSD / PDF / JPEG / PNG / SVG / EPS / TIFF
Make sure to attach raster images at Actual Size, and of fairly decent resolution. Poor quality image = poor quality print.
Images sent for printing on black/colored tees with white ink/underbase must have a transparent or removed background.
If artwork needs to be edited for print, customers may be subject to a graphics fee.
Make sure type elements are outlined and all assets are embedded/packaged with files.

NEED ARTWORK?
If you don’t have any artwork files available, no problem. Our team can work with you to assess your needs and preferences to create something original for you.
Clients are first recommended to brainstorm their idea and get a general idea of what they want.
Pay special attention to typefaces/fonts you’d like to use, as well as colors, sizing and placement of elements, and general composition.
After you have your idea you can reach us through our contact form to communicate your project to us, and the process starts from there.
DTG + VINYL INFO
Pricing varies based on the details and total quantity of the order.
General pricing ranges from $8-$22 per unit (shirt + print).
Larger orders qualify for tiers of pricing breaks for both prints and garments. More of the same shirt + print combo = cheaper.
To qualify for print pricing breaks, prints must be exactly the same in terms of design, size, and print placement.
SCREEN PRINT INFO
Pricing varies based on the details and total quantity of the order.
General pricing ranges from $5-$9 per unit (shirt and print).
Screen setup fees are a one-time charge per screen, and are kept for about 8 months for potential orders in the future.
Reorders need to meet the minimum to print, but do not have to pay setup charges again.
This process requires an approval of a visual proof before proceeding with print.
We also require a 30% deposit due upon processing. Payment can be made in-store or over the phone, using cash or credit card.
Limited specialty inks available
Able to match ink to specific Pantone colors using PMS. .
GARMENTS FOR PRINTING
Apparel pricing varies based on the details and total quantity of the order.
Larger orders qualify for tiers of pricing breaks for both prints and garments. More of the same shirt = cheaper.
To qualify for garment pricing breaks, blanks must be exactly the same in terms of style.
Mixing shirt sizes and colors is fine to qualify for pricing breaks, however keep in mind printing the same design on different shirt colors may require a different process, and may be priced differently.
Clients are also welcome to provide their own garments for printing. Please keep in mind fabric limitations for certain processes. We do not recommend using garments with synthetic fabrics such as nylon, rayon, viscose, modal, etc
Please make sure garments are new or clean and washed. We do not accept donations of sweat or skin cells.
Please also keep in mind that printing is not a perfect process, and sometimes there will be misprints or damages.. By submitting garments to us for printing clients understand this and accept the risk.
In the event of accidental misprints/damages we will issue a credit or partial refund for the order of equivalent cost.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Turnaround time varies depending on the complexity and size of the order, as well as our print schedule at the time.
Low quantity DTG prints : ~2 to 4 business days
Low quantity Vinyl prints : ~3 to 5 business days
Screen Prints : ~2-4 weeks from approval
Larger and more complex orders require more to time, whereas smaller simple orders can be done relatively quickly.
Please keep lead times in mind when ordering as prints take time to complete and are carefully scheduled.
Rush orders are possible, however availability and rush fees are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
We generally try to work around our client’s schedule, and can usually coordinate our printing to meet most deadlines.
